Weekend Road Trip 2016

The first 2-day Club run took place on the 23/24 April with six cars taking part.We set off from Morpeth where we all met up in bright sunshine but quite cold with a strong northerley wind.

Seaburn Classic Car Show 2016

Well it Rained. And Rained. Then it rained some more.  By the time we arrived (around 9.00 A.M.) at Seaburn, plan B had already been put in place by the organisers (Sunderland and District Classic Vehicle Society).  The ground was nigh on waterlogged, the Council had kindly been on site the previous week installing a new footpath and several clubs had already rung to cancel due to the wet conditions (including, interestingly, a local group of Greenlaning Land Rover Enthusisats!).

Classics in Corbridge 2016

When we relaunched the club last year we chose Classics in Corbridge as our 'annual rally' . It is an excellent show and raises a lot of money for charity. It is also a favourite because those of us who choose to can arrive on Saturday and camp. This means we can have a barbeque Saturday evening and be there for the show on Sunday without getting caught up in the traffic jams.

21st June - Ponteland

Having followed the weather forecast, an impromptu run was organised on Sunday 21st June 2015 heading from Seaton Burn to Dobbies at Ponteland.  A handful of cars and members duly met up around 9.30.  The accompanying photo shows the cars, line astern and ready for the off.  Unfortunately, the newcomer at the head of the line didn't feel up to the run to Dobbies so having introduced herself to the others she made her excuses and watched them set off.

2015 Stoneleigh Show

A number of club members attended this year's National Kit Car Show at Stoneleigh.

As well as the cars there was an information board about the club and some of our cars.

There is a photo gallery for this event

Inaugural Group Run Out

Sunday 19th April 2015 was the date for the first ever outing of the North East Kit and Classic Car Club.

Three cars (oh and a motorcycle) made the trip from the Holiday Inn at Seaton Burn to the Wentworth Cafe at Hexham.  The three cars made the return journey while our motorcyclist made a dash for his weardale home just in time to watch the bahrain Grand Prix on the TV.
